Most of our Jaipur shows play off architecture — palace domes, fort ramparts, hotel facades. Anand Van gave us the opposite: a lush, tree-lined venue with no single dominant structure to design around. That's actually a fun constraint. Instead of framing the show against a building, the drones themselves had to be the landmark, rising straight out of the treeline into open sky.
Starting Small, Then Filling the Sky
The show opened with the couple's names, glowing individually before the full formation assembled — a deliberate choice to give the names a moment of their own before the choreography moved into the wider set pieces. From there it built into heart formations and a sequence of Rajasthani motifs, referencing the region without leaning on any single physical landmark to do it.

A Finale Built for the Whole Family
The closing formation spelled out the full family name rather than just the couple's — a request from the family that changed the whole shape of the finale. It's a bigger, wider formation than a two-name reveal, and it reads differently on the ground: less "couple's moment," more "whole family celebrating together," which was exactly the tone they wanted for that part of the evening.

The Takeaway
Venues without an obvious architectural anchor aren't a limitation — they just shift where the visual interest has to come from. At Anand Van, that meant leaning harder into formation variety and pacing rather than relying on a backdrop to do part of the work. It's one of our favourite kinds of brief to get.
